6 things we want this week

We're throwing money at the screen but nothing's happening

You’re just browsing the web and there it is. It’s beautiful. It’s perfect. It’s so you. We know your pain. Here are the 6 things we want most this week.

Batman skater dress

Da na na na na na na na da na na na na na na na BATDRESS

I want this so much, I would be willing to claim that the best Batman was Adam West. This amazing Batdress by Black Milk has an undulating hem, flattering-as-all-hell pretend belt, and most importantly, doesn’t have the moulded nipples of Val Kilmer’s Batman Forever costume. Holy outfit, Batgirl.

Kittini

HNRGH. This is the best bikini ever.

I’m going to Turkey in summer (yay!) and while I’ll only be hanging out by the pool or on the beach and don’t really need something eye-catching, I still want this. Look at its little whiskers! Look at its little ears!

I’m torn between the one-piece and the swimsuit though. DECISIONS.

Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Eyeshadow

Would you just look at that box? Those rich colour pigments? Then look at the price, pretend you didn’t see it, and look back at the box that has a god damn butterfly on it. I audibly gasped when I first saw Urban Decay’s Alice Through the Looking Glass eyeshadow palette. Even though I have no particular interest in the film and I’m not brave enough to use even half of the colours on offer here, the box alone is enough to make me willing to part with my cash. Unfortunately getting a hold of it in stock is about as easy as catching the White Rabbit.

Question Block Light

I love any kind of decoration that will bring my love of games out in my home and this Question Block light is pretty much perfect for that. Realistically it’s also one of the only elements of the Mario universe that I’d actually want to bring into my real life. This light is just the right size to light up my desk whilst I play my 3DS work and it even makes a little ‘ping’ sound when you turn it on! Firebox promise it doesn’t spit over-sized gold coins whenever you tap it, although I’d really prefer it did, even if they were only chocolate.

Adulthood Is a Myth: A Sarah’s Scribbles Collection

I don’t read a lot of webcomics but there are few cute ones that always make me click. One that I really connected with is Sarah’s Scribbles by Sarah Anderson. What I love is the refreshingly honest reactions to the problems that come with growing up: from dating to having to buy clothes and do the washing up.

The comics are cute, they frequently make me laugh, and I almost always identify with them. The only thing that could make them better is if they came in book form for me to show friends at the coffee table. Ta-da!

Exploding Kittens

Exploding Kittens is a game created by Matthew Inman of The Oatmeal. It was the most funded game ever on Kickstarter and described as being for people who like kittens, explosions, and lasers. Hello! I’m actually fairly new to games of the board and tabletop variety but I’m gradually growing my collection and the weirdness of the The Oatmeal makes this one worth considering for me.

At its simplest, it’s Russian roulette but with exploding kitten cards. By itself that sounds a bit boring but the fun is in all the other cards that could emerge that can protect you from the exploding kittens or let you spy the cards other players have.
