It seems like not all that long ago we were telling you that Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions was coming to London on December 20th (so soon!). In October, the Silent Hill soundtracks got the symphonic treatment in a live performance, too. Now, there’s another series of classic game soundtracks feeling the love from a full orchestra - it’s the Square Enix RPGs.
There’s something wonderful about being able to hear your favourite soundtracks fill a hall with the power of a live orchestra behind them. Hearing the music live and actually around you, you could almost close your eyes and pretend you’re in your favourite game. The Square Enix orchestral performance will take place in the London Barbican and it’ll feature a medley of scores from games such as Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Secret of Mana, and Chrono Trigger.
For a small taster of what you can expect, here’s a previous performance of a Final Fantasy medley:
The performance isn’t actually until October 6th 2016, but booking for tickets has opened already, and there are still seats available ranging from £30-£65 so get in there fast for a good one!
